C250 CDI 125 Sport Edition
Well after much debating. I'm sad to see the departure of the old 2007 W204 C320 CDI. In an ideal world I would have replaced it with a pre-facelift 2010 ish C350 CDI. But there is nothing out there with the spec that I have now. Lots of 2010 VFM cars circa £18-20k but again all with no options!

I've settled for a 2011 C250 CDI Sport Edition 4dr Saloon (In silver again!!!) with 10k on the clock. It boasts command and a whole lot of other spec that I have now. Now prior to me paying for it, is there anything that I should be asking for upon delivery at the Merc Dealer? (I haven't seen it yet!) I.E: Do 2011 wheel nuts still rust?! From the reading through the forum posts there doesn't seem to be any major grumbles other than the injector issues on early cars.

I'll truley miss the growl of that silky smooth V6 to be replaced by a clattering 4pot. But until Facelifted C350 Cdi's get to sub £25k I'll be enjoying a little better economy with this one!

Haven't posted on here in a while but still loving the knowledge base that exists here as well as the general banter.

Best

Silver is the best colour for a Mercedes and the 250 a bit gruff but not that much slower than the V6 and a bit lighter so it will drive real nice

I'm enjoying my c250 and hope yours works out well too.

Regarding fuel economy I have noticed a considerable improvement with my C350CDi facelift over the 09 C320CDi I had previously.

Be interested to hear your comparison between the 320 and 250 which I also looked closely at when I was looking to change a couple of months ago.

Should I be getting my nuts changed? My 2010 C does have slightly rusty wheel bolts.

I blame the Polish cleaners that spray neat sulphuric acid on the alloys :)

I'll be sure to write a little summary no doubt in coming weeks!

I would Reccomend taking them off corner by corner, rubbing them down, and spraying them with silver hammerite. They last a lot longer even with chemical abuse!

*Talking about nuts by the way!* :D
