Last Mercedes CLS comes off the line​

Mercedes has ended production of the first-generation CLS-Class (W219).

Originally launched in 2004, the CLS started a styling revolution which made 'four-door coupe' a household term, almost. Immediately successful, the model would go on to sell more than 170,000 units.

The last car was a CLS550 built for an American customer who specified the AMG styling package, premium leather upholstery, bi-xenon headlights, and other goodies.

As we have previously reported, Mercedes will introduce the second-generation CLS at the Paris Motor Show in September.

Lovely car, would love to be in a position to own one. Around where I live, you see kids driving their dad's cars like this - very depressing!

if you look in the reflection to the left hand side, you will see they seem to be either the e class estate or one of the other range models..

I saw the New one at Stuttgart when I toured the factory last week. It was only in mock up form, and I wasn't allowed to photograph it.
