I use Google Maps on my phone sometimes as the live traffic info. seems pretty reliable. Fixed camera sites are shown as a small red blob on the map, and there's a faint 'bong' as you get near them. Coming back down the M40 recently though I got a spoken announcement: "Warning, mobile speed camera ahead". And a little further on there was indeed a police camera van sitting on a bridge over the motorway. A box to confirm whether the camera was still there or not popped up as we passed (which Mrs BTB responded to). I guess this is a new(ish) feature as I've never seen it before ... potentially quite handy though.

Much like Waze (no surprise as Waze is owned by Google)

Mobile speed camera notifications are reliant on user reports... If you're the first to see one and you're going too fast, you'll probably know about it before Google

I still use a TomTom a fair bit for longer trips - that has known mobile camera sites on it, but no mechanism to say there's actually a camera there right now. Strangely my old TomTom (12 years ago) did have 'live' mobile camera warnings.

For a short time last year I noticed google maps also had a feature showing my current speed, but the feature then disappeared.

I still have that feature on a andriod phone.

Yes it's there on mine. I've noticed that the current speed limit is also shown - I think this is another recent change.

Check settings. I still have that on mine.
