GTs burble

Beautiful colour! Just perfect.

Looks great Robin, and a nice touch on the dealers part getting this across to you ahead of collection. I look forward to seeing it in the flesh at a GTG soon. Greg

When I get videos from the Northampton dealership I get what sounds like a 13 year old narrating it, however back on topic...

Beautiful car! And loving the colour, ceramic brakes look the nuts :thumb:

Lovely looking car Robin, drop it 15mm and it will stand even better ;)

Is there an engine that sounds better than a V8 AMG?

That sounds so sweet, I'm sure you'll never tire of the soundtrack.:thumb:

Lovely sound, it makes me smile every time I start it and when driving in sport+ it's just laughably preposterous :D

These cars are coming through thick and fast now!

I agree, even a 10mm drop would help massively. I'm just worried what it'd do to the ride.

Stay safe today !

I'm not sure there's many V8's that stand comparison, even Ferraris. Personally, I prefer the deep burble of a cross plane V8 than the scream of a flat plain crank.

But there's a world of V10's and and V12's which also sound amazing - having experienced an Aventador, I'd say the AMG has competition for the best sounding engine ;). The V10 in the R8 sounds pretty amazing too, but then so did the V10 in my old M6 at anything but idle (where it strangely sounded like a diesel).

I think J is off to VMAX200 at Bruntingtorpe today :)

Ref noise, I think the sound of my Aston is as good as that of the AMG, different but still lovely and as for an Aston V12 they just sound great. I agree with you to regarding the Lambo/Audi V10, that's a marvellous sound too.

Of course - all Astons sound incredible :thumb:

I've never had one - whats the quality like....really?

VMax.....in the GT S? Oooh, I'd like to know how that goes.

Last one I did was in my XKR two years ago. I was annoyed that the person next to me on one of my runs (in a much faster McLaren) pulled in front of me to get a better line into the bend which sent a load of debris into my car....it ruined a previously perfect front end. To be fair, Craig was really good about it and offered me a couple of free events but it's kind of put me off going again, especially in a shiny new car :(

Aston quality ?

Hmmmm well it's fair to say they have character :)

I love mine, as in deep down absolutely love it and enjoy the feeling I get every time I'm in it. But.... they are light years away from mlarger marques in terms of things like telematics and the switch gear in some places is low rent parts bin stuff. It's a strange juxstaposition as other elements of the car are so wonderfully bespoke and beautifully made.

The buying and customer experience so far though has been incredible, so much better than from a volume brand with invitations to great events, nothing too much trouble when I pop in, offers to test new models whenever I want etc etc. I am lucky in that I live just a few miles from AM Works at Newport Pagnell who sold me the car and who were great when I took it back for a few niggles. the fact that it's where they do all the resto work on the classics and special projects make sit more alluring than other locations.

Would I have another one ? Absolutely yes. Replacement for this might be a v12s or at a push a Vanquish, only other car I'd fancy would be a McLaren 570S.

VMAX ........

Changed bit since the days you describe.

The curve is no longer part of the run which IMO is a good thing as like you I sufffered something similar once and it's a pain. Some people think it takes an MPH or two off what's achievable but it didn't stop me hitting 190+ in the big bus last time out :)

Craig is as you say a top bloke.

R, Looks stunning mate, picking it up today?
