Hi, new on here , recently bought a 59 plate E350 Coupe which Is due a service soon, anyone on here using HA Lock for servicing?

Heard good things about them, but believe they mainly work on the older stuff??

Parkhams garage is highly regarded and in Wellingborough

Hi

I live in Rushden and have used H A Lock since receiving poor service from the main dealer.
Always excellent work, MB parts only, fair price and always welcoming, l won't use anybody else now.
They go the extra mile to look after their customers.
They service recent models too, l regularly see three year old cars outside so your 59 plate wouldn't be new to them!
Thoroughly recommended.

Thanks Guys,

Thats great, just what i wanted to hear. Ive had a few recommendations for them but few comments on here. I popped into to see him a couple of days ago and seemed really friendly and helpful. Car is booked in later this month for the service

Had B service carried out by HA Lock yesterday. I took in the printout of the service history that I got when I bought the car to show what had been done previously. Mr Lock is not like you’re usual garage. Trying to pin him down on a price for a service won’t work, his answer is it depends on what it needs which can be disconcerting but I guess he does have a point. His premises are not all plate glass and posh coffee either far from it. That said, a good friend of mine who is in the trade swears by him and a few other recommend him so I had to trust him. So at the end of the day I called to ask if my car was ready, which it was and he told me it needed a few bits. Bits being pads which I did suspect were nearing replacement. B service, oil and filter, pollen filter, fuel filter, air filter kit, ( which he said was very clogged up) front and rear pads, pad sensors. All genuine MB parts. came to £565. I found him a lovely chap to deal with and I stood and chatted with him about old Mercs and all sorts. This guy is 100% Mercedes enthusiast. Some of his regulars are people with very valuable cars and no shortage of money so they take their cars to Mr Lock, not because they have to but because they choose too.

I have been using Albert and the team for nearly ten years and he really is first rate. He might seem left field but I cannot recommend him highly enough to anyone. I t is fair to say that for excellence and knowledge he operates at a higher level to any main dealer I have experienced.

I used him a few years ago for an ML270 and found him to be very knowledgeable and passionate about his specialist subject. As said before, don’t expect a glass clad front office with a coffee machine and waiting room, this place is old school - littered with tools and parts that you have to overlook. The front yard is a treasure trove of classic, modern and rare cars which I’m guessing are part his own collection and part customer cars.

He’s local and reliable so my E350 will be paying a visit soon.

Agree with above, sadly Locke will not touch anything commercial as he said he has far too much work on just cars.
Had some servicing done at Parkhams but then had to take it elsewhere as it needed the engine out to do oilcooler seals and it was too big a job for Parkhams.

Ended going to pw automotive now at Osyth close, Brackmills. Good service and very reasonable prices.

I have used locks few times and have had excellent service and I would never use any one els.
They are highly recommended by other garages if you ever have a problem with your car that other garages can’t fix plus they are very fair on prices.
The only way to keep your car running for years Use H.A.Locks
Service is second to none
