Hamilton in trouble?

What kind of a journalist, with any standing, would go out of his way to malest Hamilton on the basis of 2nd hand and 3rd hand information.

All of these non-drivers involved in the outcomes of the sport are grinding my pleasure.

To lie to the stewards and then tell a different story to the press.... hmmmm...

It's irrelevant.

Think about how F1 explains itself to the press as opposed to what happens internally ..... hmmmmm.....

Ever thought that our esteemed government might say one thing and do another ... hmmmmmm indeed. What about the police? hmmmmm.

For that manner look at the way the press reported Hamilton's quote that he would listen to offers from other teams. It turned into a headlines that hew was leaving McLaren ..... hmmmmmm....

The odd thing about this is that there is no video of him being overtaken by Trulli. What were the TV cameras doing at that point? You might have thought that they were pointing at something. .... hmmmmm.....

You're absolutely right!
Never believe a politician! I don't think truth is a concept they understand!

But, regarding the Hamilton story, we'll see what the outcome of the FIA review is - but, IF he did lie to the stewards, then IMO he deserves to lose the points.

Thing is what did he say and how does that stack up.

I can't see why he would deliberately slow in the safety car queue to tease Trullli into passing.

So that would imply perhaps.

  1. He had a technical problem
  2. He was told by the team to defer to Trulli
  3. He thought he was at risk of being penalised and let Trulli past

Afterwards what happens if 2 or 3? Well the team realise he or they screwed up and try and get back 3rd via the stewards.

If 1 then they maybe figure they can be opportunistic to get the points.

And also if 2 or 3 the team realise they might be at risk of some infingement for slowing down without a technical problem.

And what of poor Trulli if it was 2 or 3.

So it's a mess.

But where's some footage of what happened?

From what I've read, scenario 2 looks the most likely. And as you say, tough on Trulli. I'll trawl around for a video clip, but as you say, it's strange that there doesn't appear to be any...

That's the spectators clip of Trulli going off. Not regaining the place. The stewards don't seem to have a problem with LH passing at that point.

Question is where and how did Trulli get the place back?

Trulli went past of his own accord. He felt entitled to do so. The fact that Truli insisted on taking back the place is both nerdy and misplaced optimism. He is just doing it for shi-ts&giggles I thought. Why not ! What has he got to lose ?

Hang on! exactly whose website is that?

There is no doubt the stewards will speak to Hamilton, but he would be fully aware they have access to all radio transmissions so I doubt he would tell the stewards anything that was not correct.

Plus, the dash on clears when the driver acknowleges the messages, so it could easliy have been correct, although I doubt he was reading messages but checking engine settings.

A track marshall would have reported Trulli to the race stewards after the race anyway! Allen is just a waste of time, space and effort, he should go away.

Breaking news on Sky.

LH and Mclaren excluded from Australian GP classification, because of all this.
Mainly to do with misleading info to the stewards!

I would guess this stems from last year's debacle at Spa ...

Trulli passed by Hamilton. Hamilton confabs with the team - "WTF do we do guys?". Team decides to let Trulli back to avoid a penalty on that. After the incident they have "Oh sh*t we shouldn't have done that". Result is they spin it to try and get it sorted. Trulli gets whacked. Now LH gets whacked.

Welcome to F1. I stopped watching last year. I'm going to stop again.

What I find really really offensive is that as a TV Licence Payer I'm helping support this circus of muppets.

I'm only watching this year because of Brawn GP. I admire Ross Brawn and wish the team well for the season.
