I have been raising and lowering the roof on my 2004 SL350 quite happily over the summer (when not pouring with rain of course....) but the last time I did it I noticed when I got home that the small hinged flap on the nearside which allows the roof mechanism to pass through the parcel shelf had simply vanished without trace. I went back to the place where I had lowered the roof and routed around to see if I could find it, but to no avail. I think it must of loosened itself and flown off when I was on my way. Trying to get hold of a replacement for this small part is like searching for the holy grail! Every breaker I try say 'can't help you mate'. Main dealers can't seem to find the part number either and if they did it would probably mean having to buy the entire rear set of panels. Has anybody got any suggestions or happen to have a rear panel going spare??
