A couple of the tabs that hold the headlamps in place are broken, this seems to be a common fault, so I was wondering if any one else has had the same problem ? There is a repair kit on ebay for around £20. Has anyone had any experience with these repair kit's are they any good ? If they are it will save having to remortgage the house to buy another lamp.

Is that the big plastic pieces which the mounting screws go through ? If so, get the repair kit from your Mercedes dealer - they are effective, but you need a Dremel too

The Mercedes repair kit is 2x the cost of ebay ones, and if they are of same quality as original MB. then it's ebay for me.

You summarise it well
"and if they are of same quality"
You don't find that out until you use it and its not quite the same shape, or it breaks etc etc !

The Genuine repair kit (for a 2014 W205) look like being 36.40+VAT per side (I think I got the correct kit for the main holding tabs, not all the other repair kits for different bits) - genuine ones appear on eBay at £65 (as eBay is often more expensive than the dealer for real parts now). For a few quid difference between dealer and Chinese-specials, get the genuine ones ....
