I have them and would recommend them. Search the forum for the word 'xtron'. Already a couple of threads about them.

Instead of buying from HK, I would recommend the seller blacksilvertech to buy them from, they are UK based. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/blacksilvertech

They do look good. Loads of features. I guess you wire the audio and video inputs to the outputs of the other unit and visa versa. That way your kids could watch the same movie on both screens.
Not that cheap but as long as they fit they should look virtually the same as standard headrests.
They should be an easy fit as they only need ignition controlled power. The cigarette lighter in the centre console could provided you fuse them correctly be able to provide power. You could connect to the back of the cigarette lighter socket. I guess that you wuld have to thread the cables down the back of the seat with a draw wire.

I would guess 2 -3 hrs if all goes well. If the seats have to be stripped then maybe 8 hrs work. I would guess that you can give it a go your self? Things to watch out for are any air bags located in the seats, using a draw wire (maybe use an old net curtain wire) dont push too hard as you might damage the back of the seat. Then you just have to make sure non of the cables can get caught by little feet under the seat or when the seat is moved.

Probably an easy but time consuming job.

Go on give it a go and take photos for us to see :)

I've not seen those specific ones before, however I have investigated these systems before.

The problem with the aftermarket headrests are that will not offer the same protection as the MB fit.

I have the Nextbase ClicknGo DVD system fitted in my car. These are crash tested and you can get brackets to fit to the headrest mounts which allow the DVD screens to be easily removed for security. They can then be used as a portable DVD system camping or elsewhere.

They also come with infrared headphones, remote controls, and a simple, neat cable system that can also be easily removed.

They're not cheap at around £360 for twin DVD system with stantion mounts and all the accessories, battery packs are available as an extra for ultimate portability.

They work very well and I would wholeheartedly recommend the system as giving greater flexibility, safety and security over other systems and all this at a significantly reduced cost compared to MB official systems. Link below:

+1 for Nextbase as an alternative. Seems to work well in our car.

Ive got a full Nextbase kit if you are interested? Its the older model but ive got all the attachments for it (headrest attachment etc)... Only used it a couple of times.

Thanks for all the replies/thoughts/opinions. Npuk's Xtron ones look favourable at the moment as I can leave them in the car (I'm lazy!:D).

Also, they do look relatively easy to fit although being 100% honest, I'll leave the electrical connections to someone else (I don't do any electrics!).

Will let you know how I get on with the purchase and takes some photo's when installing them. :thumb:

Update...Friend of mine has bought/installed these (3 series BMW) and they look very good. Will speak nicely to my wife...:)
