Heated back rest on s212

Is the backrest meant to get hot when the heated seat button is pressed?
Currently just the base gets hot & I can’t remember if the back ever got hot but assume it did.
the icon on the button just shows the base as heat traversing.

On my SL I can change the heating on the seats to all base, all back or a mixture of the two so check the seat settings?

I don't know how old your car is, but the heating elements are pretty fragile in the W212. Usually the base ones break if you get in the car to search for something and kneel on the seat base (with your... knee), breaking the wiring. Don't think I've read a story about the backs not getting hot, but anything is possible.

But yes, the back and the sides are supposed to get hot, as well as multiple bits in the base.
