I have become the new owner of a 1979 230C Euro spec coupe that was brought over from Germany (probably by an armed forces serviceman)

This is an addition to the garage where my '52 Mercedes Type 220 Sedan is parked.

As I am learning about the 230C I will be getting familiar with this website. These euro-spec non-diesel cars make most scratch their head over here.

Nice BBS type alloys---- don't ever change them for anything different. 230 petrol engines are pretty bulletproof but check the single row timing chain. The valve guide rubber O ring seals tend to go brittle which may mean a bit of blue smoke on the over-run. They can be changed without removing the head.
