Hi all, wondering if any members can throw some suggestions on engine management light coming on. 2011 w204 cdi 220. the only sign or sound of a problem is when you are looking over the engine bay, towards the right hand side at the back. when I blip the throttle there is a slight hissing noise coming from the area where there is a plastic lever that moves backwards and forwards when I blip the throttle. I have tried to show the lever on the photo. sorry for being so vague, but I am not very familiar with diesel engines. the noise is coming from this area.

You may have a split vacuum hose, or leaking turbo, etc.

The thing to do is get the codes read using STAR (at an MB specialist) or using iCarsoft (DIY), make a note of them, erase them, then drive the car and see which faults (if any) come back.

Those fault codes which are persistent will need to be looked at.

Cheers for the info. when the lever moves one way the noise is heard and when it returns it does the same. it does sound like an air leak. will get it booked in and take it from there.:thumb:
