Oil splashes on turbo e350 cdi

The error was “13AE00 the heater for the crankcase ventilation system has a fault in the output stage”

Putting the oil one back on, cleared the fault.

Right a little update. My brother was over today so managed to get him to rev the engine and take a look. Turns out the green seal was seated correctly, so this was replaced (luckily had a spare) and all seems good. I could hear a turbo leak prior to doing it

You’d probably have been better off just swapping this part over, rather than the whole thing, that way you will have kept the new tighter diaphragm.

Can’t remember exactly, but don’t think the one I had looked like it was interchangeable either the oem one.

I was just glad to get to the bottom of the boost leak as it was quite pronounced although the seal was only pinched slightly. At one point we thought it was the turbo and were looking at replacement
