Right a little update. My brother was over today so managed to get him to rev the engine and take a look. Turns out the green seal was seated correctly, so this was replaced (luckily had a spare) and all seems good. I could hear a turbo leak prior to doing it

You’d probably have been better off just swapping this part over, rather than the whole thing, that way you will have kept the new tighter diaphragm. View attachment 166967
Can’t remember exactly, but don’t think the one I had looked like it was interchangeable either the oem one.
I was just glad to get to the bottom of the boost leak as it was quite pronounced although the seal was only pinched slightly. At one point we thought it was the turbo and were looking at replacement
Well, all I can say is, “snap”, today when I did my weekly fluid checks, I noticed some oil residue coming out of the vents on the rear of the engine cover, which turned out to be coming from the charge pipe, therefore, o ring not seated properly, when I removed the pipe, the green o ring had been dislodged and kinked, which must have happened when I changed the fuel filter, luckily I bought two, so I had a spare, needless to say, I was much more careful refitting the pipe this time.
