Hi All,

I have an SLK55 2007 booked in here next week for a condenser replacement. We would normally ONLY go genuine on these as aftermarket just dont fit and we end up fitting genuine anyway after many hours of trying and lots of skin missing from knuckles! We have learnt the hard way there.

The problem I have is that Mercedes have none in stock and they are back ordered with no ETA. Our customer is driving to Germany in 10 days and needs his air con working!

I have tried all of my usual avenues, including a local company that have come up trumps for us before with tricky ones, but they cant supply. Having one made from scratch is possible but the time frame doesnt work.

Can anyone suggest somewhere reputable that I could source one from? One that fits and is of good quality!

First time I've ever been stuck getting a part and thought one of you guys/girls might have an idea!

Thanks, Natacha

Sometimes if you approach a regional Daimler hub directly they will have stock that won't show in your region. Worth remembering next time you are stumped.

Cycle and Carriage in Singapore can be tremendously helpful if you know how to tune into their frequency - can offer a three day service to almost anywhere if you are willing to pay a little extra too.

Also radiator specialists will stock the condensor core, and recore it for you. Mine does as its simply another form of radiator.

Sadly the one near to us didnt offer that :( Upon research, the Denso one should be good and hopefully will have all the fittings in the right places and not give the guys a headache!
