HELP P0101FA MERCEDES A200d 2019

Hi guys,
Newbie here my partners mercedes a200d w177 654.920 hits limp intermittently doesn't always bring in a fault code but have had one come up as p0101fa Mass air flow sensor 1 has a malfunction.
Checked for leaks nothing visable
Replaced MAF with genuine new from dealer reset adaptations drove fine for 50 miles and back again, so iv taken it in to a local specialist who has decent reviews suggest there is a small air leak but he would have to remove the engine to find the leak????
Which i dont really want to do anyone had this issue or can recommend a decent specialist around the southwest?

Did you get it sorted as am in the same situation after replacing it the maf sensor malfunction comes back on with air quality sensor has malfunction when i try get some speed om motorway in 4/5 gear. Cheers
