Hey all,
I've recently had issues with my EGR and just want to get rid of it on my 2008 Bluetek, OM642. I put a 4.7k ohm resistor as I've read on the threads here but still getting some codes like 2355-001 (EGR air flow), 2690-006 (exhaust gas pressure hi B60), and 3006-001 (exhaust back pressure downstream of DPF) but she hasn't gone into limp mode yet.
My question -
1) Do I need to physically remove the EGR and put a blocking place on it?
2) Can I just leave it in disconnected?
3) Devise a way to make it stay open while leaving it installed?

Thanks guys!!!

get some wynns extreme diesel cleaner sorted my egr out in 11 miles the light went off
The EGR positioner is bad and I don't want to spend another $200-400 on it. That's why I posted this note. I want to disable it and I'm looking for advice on the easiest way to do that. I have already installed the 4.7k ohm resister.
