Help with Key Fob please

My daughter’s car has come with only one key!
I have been given a complete key fob from another car -exactly the same model
Can this be erased- then recoded to work as a spare key with her car?

All guess work for us ,,,you did not tell us what the car is, the year or the model I think a dealers job to programe , i dont know any other way but keep looking in.

It would help if you told us which car we are discussing but the answer is almost certainly no.

No it can't and won't. You need to pay for a spare £100 to &150 for pre 2016 from most locksmith's ,after that it's £350 ? At Mercedes dealership.
