A140 sold, S500 sold, R320 sold, 2004 CLK 500 AMG? Not a real one Nissan Leaf for local trips
Thanks for letting me join I have a 2004 CLK 500 this is my 46th car and my 7th Mercedes others include A,C,E, ML, R, S. I have only owned 1 BMW and it will be my last it was a 735i and caused me more grief than all my other cars put together. I also own a Nissan Leaf for running around locally. The CLK is for fun!
|I am using this time to get the CLK Cabriolet up to a standard that I will be happy with. So far I have changed all 4 shocks and rear springs, next is front and rear brakes. Then all fluids and filters. I probably should look at all the bushes after that but I have a couple of things to do first such as the parking break return spring and a clicking blend door actuator.

Welcome to the Club! Which 735 did you have? I had lusted after the E34 back in the day. But yes, due to the age there are plenty of things which can go wrong with them now.

I couldn't tell you to be honest I bought at auction, it had spent its life in Saudi Arabia for some reason but it caused me so much grief with electrics and the cooling system I actuall swapped it for a Volvo estate to get rid of it. I bet you can tell I am not a BMW oficianado

Hi there and welcome to the club!
I purchased my SL500 last new years day and have spent quite a lot on giving the entire car a good going over including the dreaded struts! It now rides and sounds so much better - Well worth the effort

Good luck and nice car by the way

I wanted anSL but she said we have to have four seats in case any of her friends wanted a day out. That was the whole point of an SL!

Big day tomorrow changing all the pads and discs and repacking the wheel bearings with new grease. I have a very slight rumble on the NSF bearings not enough to change them yet, I am hoping the grease change will give me a little more time.
Does anyone know of a good video or instructions on how to remove the dash on my CLK500?
