Went to a Rolling road event at the weekend which the Volvo crew arranged, Managed to get caught out with the weather on the way down leaving the car covered in salt and road grime, Wash her down ph neutral using 2 bucket method, then Autoglym Extra gloss on top, wasn't any need for a polish as the finish was already fine ie no swirls, checked the with a Uv light as i took the Gloss off to be sure, Moved onto the underside tonight to treat the under plastics with old engine oil on a rag, seems to work well for me, and wax any painted surfaces along with brushing any loose bits of rubbish from the rear arch liners as they are like a carpet material.

Your better half must be very understanding gav . I have to beg now to just clean mine as we have 2 kids 2 years and under so iam being unreasonable when I want to clean once a fortnight doh. Looking good and will last forever at this rate! good work.

Well yes she is understanding, lol we have 5 kids, so i'm safer in the garage with the Cdi no chance of getting anything pregnant in there pmsl

Possibly it all started really when i had a very nice 1985 w126 sel which came 3rd in the Concours d'Elégance at Brooklands a few years back think it was 2007.
