Check all of the connectors to ensure that they are correctly seated.

Is there power to the unit?

A weak suggestion, supporting the above, are you sure you didn’t somehow short / blow the fuse in the process?

What precisely do you mean by “stopped playing? “ No image at all on the display or an image on the screen but the DVD player alone won’t play the video stream ?
