- 2008 S204 C220CDI Elegance Estate Auto, 2008 R171 facelift SLK280 Auto.
Last year the OS horn on my S204 went anaemic, I bought NOS from Ebay for both sides as I was not sure whether the bumper would have to be removed to exchange the OS (2 Youtube videos, one said yes, the other no!). In case it was I bought what I thought were correct new horns for both sides.
Come the job being done by local indie, he was able to access the OS via the wheel arch, but found that what I'd bought needed a different electrical plug - oval body rather than what he found (see photo).
Both horns are Fiamm AM80S-R.
The OS 400Hz one has the MB part number A007 542 70 20.
The NS 500Hz one has MB part number A006 542 80 20.
Both have the correct fixing bracket as shown in the photo - for ease of packing I'll probably take that off and turn it over rather than leave it "sticking up".
I suspect that these horns will also fit other models of MB, please check that and the electrical connection to make sure you have the correct oval bodied connector!
Asking £25 +P&P (RM Tracked 48, £3.39 for either or both), preferably by bank transfer.
