when one job creates another During the fitting of a new leisure battery to the Vito (Drivers seat removal ) I had the doors open for so long that the Battery went too low to start so I pulled out the Normal battery to recharge it during the removal and hoiking the battery out it pulled the link cable to the other battery out of the fuse holder Piccie Below I cannot see how to get the connector left in out so that i can get another one and cant see whether it can be extracted without destroying the connector . so ....
1 Is the Connector left in removable
2 what type of connector is it likely to be
3 cable size is around 4/4.5mm so 10-12mm squared cross section I'll probably need a heavy duty crimper like one of these ? 6.0mm² - 25mm² Ratchet Crimp Tool
4 what is this type of holder called so i can order a replacement or an equivalent
theres only about 6-8 inches of the cable end thats accessible (ie the link cable that now has no end on it ) so the new end will have to be done in situ inside the seat base where the battery sits
any help welcome I could go to an auto electrician but for a few quid I'll have the crimping tool and be equipped for any future battery lug repairs

I'm not familiar with this specific connector but with this type the metal insert is typically held in by a little tab that bends when the thing is inserted then springs out to prevent removal. If you can spot the tab I use a small jewellers screwdriver from the other end to depress the tab so the metal insert will slide back out.

struggling to see / find the tab with light / torch / magnifying glass etc does the screwdriver go in from the opposite end that the wire comes out of ie at the fuse blade end ?

Normally from the opposite side to the cable, in this case from the blade side.

why dont you rip out all the cables and put in a new anderson connector?

its basically an in line 70A fuse linking the main battery to either the leisure battery or the split charge system so I was trying to keep it simple replace like with like but I cannot get the wire out of the connector cant see where to buy an identical one either nearest i can find is this which i think will do the job but will need heavy duty crimpers as per the link above to put the lugs on Splashproof Maxi Blade Fuse Holder or this Midi/Strip Link Fuse Holder with a 70A fuse and then just need to crimp the ends properly probably with some of these 6.0mm² - 25mm² Ratchet Crimp Tool as not sure my existing crimp tools will be up to this size of cable at 4/4.5mm diameter so 10-12mm squared cross section

Looks like they are tabbed at both sides of the metal connector. As 190 said, small screwdriver and gently lever them in towards the centre and then pusch the connector out. Or just fit a new anderson connector as suggested.
