How much is this worth?

E250 CDI 2009 Automatic

Notable options;

COMAND
ILS Xenons
Heated front seats (facelift versions)
18” AMG Wheels with great tread

Clean MOT valid till October

Loads of history, new timing chain a couple years ago by PCS, upgraded water pump, fuel filter housing, rocker cover gaskets, all injectors resealed etc…essentially all the comment OM651 issues done by MB specialists

FSH, Main dealer & specialist

245k miles (IIRC)

Bodywork is decent for the age.

Can do 500 miles at 70mph easily ;)

Not sure what else to say?

Not sure of a price......but probably low as the number of people wanting to take on an expensive to fix car with nearly quarter of a million miles on it will be very small.....and the number wanting that engine it it in this day and age....not ULEZ compliant, smaller still. Looks great though....I love a 212.

There is a 2010 160,000 mile one on Auto trader for just £3200.

Saw that but it’s a bit grandpa spec?

I would just keep it but doesn’t seem worth leaving it sat around, I’ve bought yet another EV replace this I’ll be picking up when I get back home in a couple weeks. 😅

Like so many cars not ULEZ it's not worth much, such a shame as it looks great. To add, you going EV hasn't helped the situation im afraid to say.

My immediate thought reading and looking at spec. & miles was £2 to £3k.
I think it's worth more though if you can find the right buyer.

One of the reasons we've held onto 2 of the W212 with the OM651 is that they are worth more to us than to sell on as we know the history.

Ooooh what did you buy this time?

It's probably an eBay auction to set the price, but if you're happy with it, and as it can't owe you much, is it not work keeping for the longer non EV friendly trips etc....?

Yes contemplating it, but also seems a waste to sit around if someone with a relatively modest budget can get a great daily car?

Fair enough.

I'm sure you don't want to hear this but no more than £2k in your hand. No disrespect intended.

To benchmark it, look at what early W212 diesels people are failing to sell for less than £3k (Advertised price is not achieved price)

You know that the car's fine but your buyers don't. It's asymmetric information. (Worth a Nobel prize any day of the week) The Market for Lemons - Wikipedia

That’s fair enough, every little helps towards the holiday expenditure - has been an expensive couple of weeks. 🤦‍♂️

😳 that’s quick! 😳
Not as quick as the newer Plaid, but sadly only in LHD. Still tempting though.

The new Plaid beats the new Revuelto in a drag race, insane to see a 4 door family sedan do that.

Tesla?...slow! Get the Lucid Air Sapphire if you want a really quick (and fast) four door family saloon car. 0-60 mph in 1.89 seconds, 0-100 mph in 3.84 seconds, and the quarter mile in 8.95 seconds, with a top speed of 205 mph. Not cheap though at about £200,000!

Neck brace territory.

But looks great parked outside the house.

Thanks but no thanks for now ;) But I’ll check it out perhaps next.

The Plaid would be nice but, I think you’ll be delighted with your new car 👍🏻
