So, was getting annoyed with having to using cable ties to stop the ignition coil plugs from getting loose etc (Also to avoid insomia over it). I decided to take a look at replacing them and to be honest was a very easy job and took best part of 30 minutes.
Part is used across various models/engines so same principle applies
Tools:
- 8x Plugs (Part No. A2035453028)
- Electric Pin Key set
1) Snap off the 3 plastic tabs below
2) On the bottom side of the plug (Opposite to the tabs) push any suitable key that fits in (Innuendo...I know) and push as hard as you can, and you will feel it push out.
3) Please remember the colours of the wires going into 2. I believe the centre is always going to be a ground wire but yeah just keep note.
4) Time to put them into the new connector. Just push all in until you hear/feel it snap into place. I using a slightly wider pin key and pushed the blue rubber seal from the rear. Made it a lot easier to do it this way then pushing my fingers. Just be careful not to pierce the wire.
5) Admire.......
Thanks
