How to conceal phone charger

I have got a W212 E250 CDI Sport.

Has anybody ever tried to fit one of those really flush cigarette lighter adaptors under the centre console trim?

I did it on my old car (S-MAX 2.5T). It fitted into the socket, but was shallow enough to close the flap over it. I then ran the cable under the console trim and plugged my stuff in under the seat.

How difficult is it to remove the trim?

How about using the socket in the glove box then running the wire out/under the trim there?

I bought one of those power monkey USB chargers but it is just a few mm tall to go in the centre console cigarette socket and be able to close it.

Yes, that's the problem, It sticks up too tall to allow the door to close.
