Hi all , help please.
I have looked at videos and goodness gracious some 'mechanics' fumble around and their videos are useless.
I have fitted a hydraulic chain tensioner and test driven the car and the rattle on a warm start up has gone, which is great.
I have wired in some drls and noticed an oil leak coming from the tensioner housing and thought i had not tightened the tensioner, so a while later i put a socket on the end and hello its tight.
Question.... does the tensioner seal off oil from the block, or is it the plug (that now has a hole in it) that stops the oil dribbling down the block?
Do i have to get a new plug? Would a frost plug (welch plug) work? Could i fix the 8mm hole somehow?
Any suggestions?
TIA
