1. Modified engine et al therefore insurance is terrible
2. Its a saloon (as opposed to coupes or estates)
3. whole front end is non-standard so only appeals to limited audience.

4. dont misunderstand me..I know the seller and have seen that car more than once and it was gorgeous - he has done a beautiful job with the complete conversion and any buyer will not be disappointed.

Dont think it would take much to return it back to standard in terms of the front end though. I think it's as you said matt its a saloon and not a coupe or estate.

How does a 3.6 AMG lump put out 330 bhp ?

MB spec was circa 270 bhp for the 3.6 AMG lump, which makes sense given stock M104 3.2 lump put out circa 230bhp. Marginal increase in discplacement, some porting to heads, high-lift cam and remap of fuel delivery would deliver an additional 40bhp or so.

But to get an additional 100bhp on top of the stock 3.2 m104 without forced induction/NOS ??? Yes, appreciate this is a 3.6 lump so at best it can only be 270 bhp given the above stats ?

if it already was a 320 it would have been a good base to strart with as im advised. Too much work with the 220 i think.

It's actually dropped in price, it was above 5 grand previously with all the ICE install.

I'd snap it up in an instant, if I had the money available.

Didn't it start out at £9,000 with the original mega-ICE spec (promoting the seller's business, IIRC)?
