Hi
A few questions to help identify parts behind the dashboard of an R107
1) Are the black ribbed air hoses that supply the air vents on the sides of the same type ? On my RHD the hose on the driver side is not flared at the ends, on the passenger side they are .
2) The plastic air chute that feeds air from the base of the heater box, to the foot well on the drivers side has a support bolt to a solid aluminum bar just right of the steering. What supports the chute on the passenger side since it has no similar aluminum bar ?
3) Can anyone assist with a description of the item in the pic. Behind it is attached the thermostat for the airconditioner. Also, how is this body fixed and aligned to the C- Shaped support in the pic ? Furthermore, does anyone have a picture of what the nut should look like and measure , for fixing this body to the front panel . It has M16 x 1.0 thread, would appreciate a pic and more measurements to make one.
4) What is the purpose of the C- shaped bracket seen just to the left of the instrument cluster (cluster removed ) it is bolted to the steel member which runs left to right between A pillars.
5) What is the purpose of the C- Shaped bracket just behind the passenger side air vent.. it looks like a support for the black ribbed hose connecting to the air vent , but crushes the hose if using it for this purpose.
6) The black metal bracket in the pic. Fits how into the dashboard fixing studs, should there be 1 or 2 of these per stud with one or two washers ?
Much appreciate if anyone can assist.
