Hi, i'm a noob to mbclub, a great site for MB fans.
i bought an e280 w124 1994 auto estate recently, it went well until i left it over a weekend and now it will start, and run (doesn't sound lumpy or bad) but it won't tick over in idle.
i've tried keeping it revved slightly until its warmed up but as soon as my foots off the gas it dies.
i think it could be a sensor problem or maybe the harness shorting (as i've been reading on this site). i havent bought a workshop manual yet, and don't know my way around the engine to well. (very different to my old 190e '88!)
any ideas to try before i commit it into the local indy MB garage?
they would br much appretiated!
many thanks
