Reading about the awful conditions some parts of the country have suffered, my thoughts are with the family of the unfortunate gentleman that was trapped yesterday and sadly passed away.

What a terrible, terrible tragedy, I also feel for the people of the emergency services who were unable to free him.

Here's hoping none of our members have been caught out by these floods.

Said incident was about 6 miles away, he died helping others and was trapped due to a bodged previous repair. Services are almost back to normal (3 lanes of the A63 now open) but more rain is forecast.

i heard there have been 3 fatalities so far, one being a 13yo boy. meanwhile i'm watching the weird weather from my window....
