Inspired by CLS?

Apologies if this has been remarked upon before.

But to my jaded eye this looks as if the designers rather liked the CLS. (In the same way that the designers of the Rover SD1 seem to have rather liked the Daytona).

Sideways on it looks sort of Lexus !S200 and sort of BMW 3 series too.
To my eye pretty ugly from all angles but I am no fan of the latest agressive styling on so many cars.
