Instrument cluster for 1988 300CE

Anyone know where I can get one, without going to MB? My mileometer has stopped working despite various attempts at repairing it and I really need it to be working to satisfy my Classic Car Insurance (limited mileage). I understand I need the whole cluster.

There's a VDO W124 part number in the speedo face, IIRC, and you need to find another binnacle with the same number. There will be plenty around in breakers (Mercland, Mercman, etc)

You'll need a pair of pullers to remove the binnacle - about £10 off eBay

You just need the speedo head, one from almost any 300E/CE/TE/4matic or 260E will do the job.

£30 should be the most you'd expect to pay.
