Hi, first post just to say have joined the throng of MB owners after many years as a Porsche 911 officionado. I have been wooed by the sheer luxury and power and fantastic second hand value of my 2002 SL 55AMG with only 50k on the clock and a full MB service history and am loving every moment.
I have 18" AMG III's at the moment and if anyone knows where I can get a set of 19" AMG IV's I would be very grateful
Thanks

Welcome along Doldive. Your question might get overlooked there. I think there is a wheels/tyres section you could start a thread in and stand a better chance of getting it noticed. If I'm wrong, no doubt someone will say so.
Meantimes, welcome along.

Hi and welcome to the forum

Hi and welcome
Re the wheels, fortunately mine came with the AMG IVs, they were actually standard on the SL65. I did look at how much they were and found this company:
Mercedes SL Class R230 alloys | Alloy Wheels Direct Ltd

The fronts are 8 1/2" and the rears 9 1/2" or optionally 10 1/2".
The "proper" SL wheels have a part no starting with 230 cast into the rear face. You can get some "211" model ones (identified with pt no starting 211) which do fit, although have slightly different offsets.

Hope this helps

You really like a rough and noisy ride I take it? I love the 16" alloys on my E280 as it means there's a load more cushion between me and the road. Do you do a lot of miles or is this just for fun?

Welcome Doldive. :thumb:

Nice car, what I would have picked if I didnt have a 160mile commute each day.
