Hi

I got an Ipod photo 30Gb. Does anyone know how to get the photos into ITunes. Apparently I should use IPhoto but I can't find a PC version of this software.

When I did the original set up, one photo transferred but I dont know exactly how.

Regards

Tan

IIRC iTunes 4.7.1 has all the features you need.

Do you deffo have this version?

I have version 4.7.1.30, that was supplied in the box. Did the update and that came back that I have the latest version.

iPod photos

Tan-

Do the following:

1: Conect iPod
2: Open iTunes

From iTunes Menu-
3: Edit
4: Preferences

5: select iPod tab
6: then Photos tab

There you will see a tick box "Synchronize photos from:"
and alongside this a drop down menu box will have the current default folder, which has an option "Choose folder" choose the folder that you want to use.

7: Every time iPod conects it will check this folder and load the images to the iPod

iTunes does not actually store images

A couple of points - I would create a dedicated folder to keep ipod photos in and stick with it - the iPod will look for this folder every time it connects to itunes. If you delete or rename the folder iTunes will through a wobbly.

Finally check the "include full-resolution photos" box if you are going to view the pictures on a TV or other monitor.

Hope this helps

iPod contents

Tan -

I have a quick question.

Could you tell me what came in the iPod box (apart from the iPod!) - since reducing the prices I believe Apple cut back on cables & docks?

Thanks

Mike

Hi

Thanks for the help got it sorted. Was not looking in the right section of the software.

Mike: Your guide is spot on.
In the box got: Ipod, AC adaptor, USB cable, headphones, software.

**Mine was bought in the USA. Best check the UK spec.**

They have seriously cut down the mini ipod. No ac adaptor or firewire cable.
With the mini, John Lewis were doin the old ones at £125 that have the extras in.

iPod Spec

Tan,

Glad you are sorted - I don't want to know how much you paid for an American iPod it will probably depress me.

However I was lucky - placed an order just before the price reductions, Apple offered me the reduced price.

Still craming the tunes on.....

Mike

It wasn't as good as I had hoped, because it was bought in cali and they have an additional 8.5% tax :(
