Bought a 300-CE 24v as a project car a week ago today:
Drove perfectly once hot, but was hard to start when cold and had various other minor issues to sort.
Was on my way to a local garage to sort out a replacement fuel filter on Friday when a vw crafter flatbed pulled out of a side road onto where I was on a 70 MPH dual carriageway. Luckily they didn't hit the much smaller car in front of me.
Result:
Banged my head on the drivers side window and a can of coke in the centre console got launched but not enough to achieve orbit..
So my now failed attempt to get back into the straight 6 - 24V engined cars I like, has failed.. Just trying to work out what next to buy.
Oh and the big kicker is that when I got home after the crash I returned to a pile of boxes just been delivered which had all the new parts and service items to fix up the old girl... bugger!
