With my rear view mirror..

When I drive along I get treble vision if I look out the back window via the mirror. At first I thought it was a traite of cabriolets and roof movement but when I held the mirror it all went still and clear again.

Does anyone know if there is a way to tighten the mirror or is a new one on the cards..?

Thanks

Do you have a plastic surround where the mirror meets the windscreen?

If so, try pushing it upwards - firmly, but gradually. When I say "upwards" I mean along the plane of the screen so it clamps the RVM.

Our ML had a shake to the mirror when we first got it, and the plastic mount/cover had dropped slightly. Pushing it in the way I describe above sorted it, and it's been fine since.
