Could I pick your brains regarding jacking the rear of car to get jack stands under each jacking point. When raising the front I jack from the front jacking point under of the car and then just pop the stands under the side points. However with the rear I want to lift both wheels at the same time, I obviously can't use the side jacking points as I won't be able to get the stands under then. I have read about using the rear diff housing? Is this something that anyone has done and is it rated to lift the rear of the car? Thanks

Under the diff is fine....on some cars I've had there are two sets of jack points....one for trolleys or the factory supplied jack... and another set, usually further inboard, for garage two post lifts...makes it much easier to get a car on 4 axle stands.
On my 212 sport the front is too low to get my jack on the centre lift point...so I have to jack one side up a bit to enable the jack to get under the centre jacking point....its a pain. Will have to get a low line trolley jack.
