C220 CDI Sport Estate 07
Just got my C220 Sport estate back from repair where some t- - -t bashed the rear offside door and sill in causing £2000 damage. Had to claim and it cost me £250 excess:mad:
The bstrd clearly knew they hit my car but sh*&^%ly drove off wothout owning up!
Friday I got my car back and Saturday I went with wife to look at five different nursing homes for her mother. Sunday we noticed some other F*****r has hit the tailgate - - dented it and split the paint but of course they just F****d off:mad:
Left me with a Mercedes cost to repair of £814.63
God help me if I ever see some t**t do that to mine or anyone elses car I will take great pleasure in reporting them - - and I promise with hand on heart I would never inflict that sneaky trick on anyone if I bang someones car:(
Rant over:crazy:

Sorry to hear you bad luck

These things happen in 3's, so watch out!!

Hello

Sorry to hear that, my wifes car was dented the other day and I have yet to get a quote but its going to be hindreds I'm sure.

Like you the person WOULD have known they did it. I do wonder if they saw the fact it was a Merc (read expensive or they can afford it) and drove off..

Either way its a sad reflection on todays world.

Aside from the car - - someting else has just struck me!
Could this be the work of Mercedes Chester as they seem to be making quite a profit from these types of incidents:rolleyes:
Stuart.

People have very little respect these days for other property. In the last couple of months I have had ****** up youths standing on the roof of my car, and some stupid little blond bird park her Corsa nose to nose to mine blocking me in.

Its made me paranoid to verge of OCD now when I hear something going on outside I am looking out the window.

Really sorry to hear about your spate of bad luck mate.

Bad luck - don't you also find that the damage always take place just after the car has been in the garage  never a week before its due to go in...

I once had a shop keeper come out and give me the Registration Number of the Taxi that had removed my wing mirror, Oh the Joy of seeing him on a Rank a few days later:devil:

Well I am getting madder. I just now decided to take a look at the first "repaired" part of my car and can see a slight "crease" in the area of the repair:eek:
You know when you look at something in a different light? The reflection definitely seems to have a distortion or shimmy in it:mad:
Now this may be understandable in a "repaired" door but this is supposed to be a new door! Ive just sent off an email to my insurers as I think they should be aware of this. Surely if you have a new door this should be "as new" like the other nearside door:confused:
Needless to say I am going to wait for a reply before I go back to Chester Mercedes with the damaged tailgate:(
Stuart

You really aren't having much luck are you?!

Oh btw, you appear to have cr4p all over your avatar........ ;)

Bad luck indeed, and all the best with the repairs. After last night you can relax on the bad news coming in threes though ;)

TBH - - I tend to not get too bent about the avatar ( not like my car!) - - most times its accepted but theres always going to be those occasions.
Incidentally we have returned from trouble in threes before - - 2005 and I was there:cool:

MB Chester trying it on again?
And here was me thinking it was just the dealer/garage side of the operation. Now it seems the bodyshop is at it too...........
You have my sympathy also friend.

Things happen in threes?

Perhaps someone knowledgeable about the "threes" theory can help me then.

My L200 got reversed into the rear corner by a Saab causing £2500 of damage. The other driver has accepted full liability and I am waiting for a very popular paintshop to start work.

I parked next to a Discovery and when I came back it had left a triple dent in the right rear door. I took it to the body shop and they thought that it could be fixed by the dent doctor. So I then drove off to another merchants and parked next to another Discovery. Guess what, the prat in that car managed to hit the very same door again with his drivers door.

Now when I go into the paintshop I will have three lots of damage to fix. Is that the end of my problems or do I have to wait for a third Discovery driver to make it "three", or does the Saab bash count too?

Here is an interesting article on threes

Mirror Testing

Yesterday, out in our Sprinter I clipped door mirrors with a parked Vito.

I went to check the Vito for damage - none. But play in the O/S mirror, so I went to the N/S mirror and checked for play in that one, and then back to the mirror I hit again - All ok.

If the Vito owner had seen been messing around with the mirrors he'd have thought I was a scrote, or mad.

This was in full view of the public though, and I'm sure someone must have seen me mirror testing... :o

Charity.

A while ago, I went about 10,miles to Windyways charity shop in Macclesfield to donate some things we no longer needed.

I was in the shop for 3-4 minutes, and came out to find my silver Omega had a lovely red stripe down the side of the car and broken indicator lens... The culprit had vanished.

I could have taken the donation to a local shop, but I prefer to help animals who can't help themselves. Oh well...

This turned around and bit me on my insurance renewal this year, because it goes down as a fault claim.

Bring me the head of the red vehicle driver.

this afternoon I saw a lady in an old bmw 730 leaving a street parking bay. - rather than turn the steering wheel to manouvre out, she proceeded to move the car in front of her forward with her bumper and then reversed to move the rear car backwards - this left scrathes on all the bumpers - when i tapped on the window to tell her she was damaging someone elses property she looked at me incedulously and said what do you think f***ing bumpers are for - - then wound the window up and locked her door - result of all this - an 08 audi a4 has a badly scratched bumper and to the rear of her, a new saab 93 has a cracked number plate. she has probably been doing this all her driving career - causing many thousand pounds worth of damage !! she was no more than a lazy dumb cow.
