Doe's any one know if its possible to buy the ignition key case without the innerds?

Unlikely, you could possibly buy a second-hand one from ebay or something.

If your car has the plastic plug-in type key rather than the switchblade style then it's under £40 for a new key anyway, it's way less hassle to just buy a new key.
