Has anyone tried this method, seems too simple...?

It seems to be a generic method that has been syperceeded by more sophisticated methods.

Some MB keys can be coded by Locksmiths with the correct equipment. Some need the key supplied by MB at a fairly high cost.

Bear in mind if ordering from Mercedes the key doesn't always come with the emergency metal blade that can be extra!

Thanks. I tried the method linked and as you guessed it didn’t work. Getting locksmith to program it.
