Keyless entry W204 C63

Its not a new car, good chance it doesn't have a manual with it but should be able to download one off tinternet

Keep the key in a metal tin.

You can't use a biscuit tin or similar because the coating of plastic prevents a full Faraday cage being formed.

I use a small stainless steel tin bought off ebay I think.

Test your solution by taking the tin next to the car and see if the door will open.

Double click the fob when locking and keep the key(s) in a tin or faraday pouch.
You'll need to use the fob to open the car next time though as you have disabled keyless entry with a double click on the fob.

As above, double click the lock button disables keyless entry, newer mercs disable it automatically if the key has not been moved for 2 minutes.
