Knocking from Drivers side front

Hi All

I've got a bit of an annoying knocking coming from the drivers side wheel area. I've been told that there is a little bit of play in the drop link but I wouldn't have thought that would sound as loud as the knocking I'm hearing.
I've also noticed it's only doing (obviously over bumps) but when I turning left but not turning right.

Any ideas...

It’s probably a ball joint, it’s usually the first thing to check. Best thing to do would be to have a look at all of them and check for any play and take it from there.

Yeah, apologies, I forgot to add that it has had a full service last week and the passenger lower arm was replaced but hasn't stopped the knocking.

Did the garage you took it to had an inspection of all the front suspension? Including the driver side you suspect the noise is coming from?

Yep, I told them I was getting a knocking from the drivers side. It was halfords autocentre mind [emoji2357].
When I picked it up they said the knocking had gone but the drop link had a bit if play in it.

It might be worth checking the whole front end again to make sure there’s nothing else worn/damaged. It could be something else as well.

If you can’t find anything else it may be worth changing the drop links as they are already worn and once they get a bit of play they start to wear out much faster. They are quite cheap and easy to change as well and could cause a knocking noise if they have quite a bit of play with driving loads.
