koni sport or vogtland?

astamir don't you like your Koni's?
we all like different things.
it's always a trial 'n' error testing stuff what's good or bad for your car and your likings.

I hope I didn't mislead you into buying Konis's?
how are your roads in the UK?
streets full of potholes and speedbumps will give you a harsh ride.

I still love my setup and will always buy this combo Vogtland and Koni's when it's time for re-newal in 50 years or so?? :D

why didn't you put on spring pads on your car?
I bet you lost some driving comfort not using these rubbers!
Hi mate
I like the konis there is no problem with them I think the issue is here first no rubbers then 19"wheels with low profile tyres.
I'm going to put the rubbers back and if I won't be happy with that I will change to 18" with higher tyres.
At the moment I have 235/35/19 front and 255/35/19 back.
And to be honest the rears looks a bit stretched and I guess I would need 265 or 275 at the back.
The roads are not that really good inside the city mate

the profile you have on your rear tires is wrong.
235/35/19 front and 255/35/19 rear.

correct tire profile for rear tires should be 30.
there are parameters that will read wrong data when you have the wrong tire profile on your car.

I think 18 inch rims are the best for w202/w208
265/275 wide rear tires looks dope on AMG

lousy roads we have them everywhere!
it's all about avoiding hitting the nastiest potholes if you want to keep your suspension and wheels in good health

Hi

Just did a quick comparison of your tyre profiles (now vs OEM) and you lost approx 2cm of tyre profile up front and just under 1cm of profile on the rear.
you have very little give on your present side wall setup, this would have a bigger effect on wheel rate (spring rate at the wheel) than the actual increase of spring rate on the lowering springs, my advice would be, leave the suspension as it is and change the tyre set up to a healthier side wall and then drive it like you stole it.

This is how low it seats and I'm definitely going to swap the wheels for 18" that way I guess I can put some 40 or 45 high on the front and 40 on the back bringing the tyre height close to standard.
Also as i mentioned even having the 255/35 at the back it looks stretched and it's not wide enough which i guess reduce the height more

Does look bloody good tho, I'm currently wanting to lower my car but don't really know where to start

W208AMG

After a drive in lowered m3 my feel much softer and nicer to drive so I decided to leave the set up as it is and just put a higher tyres.

I put koni yellow and eibach lowering springs with adjustable rear camber arms and adjuster caster bolts at the front
I left the thickest rubber spring pads on the front and removed the rear ones
