Lacking power

My 2005 cls amg55 seems to be down on power, I think that the clutch is not engaging, how do I check it and what could possibly cause this?

I think you have to be more analytic about the power loss. It may not be the blower. Is it a loss of power or torque? Can you hear the blower engage when you give it the right foot? Etc.
 
Get the codes read on STAR, saves a lot of guessing
 
Yes as above.

Had a similar issue on my C32 and turned out to be the Intake Air Temp sensor. Easy fix, £20 for a genuine MB part.
 
No I can't, and if i hold the black rotating cylinder behind the pulley it doesn't move when the engine is revved up, this is why I think the clutch isn't engaging.
