Hi,

Has anyone come across a product or found their own way of mounting a 2 in 1 / flip screen type laptop between the rear headrests? I am wanting to use it as a rear entertainment screen for the kids.

There are plenty of products out there for light weight tablets etc. and lots of stuff to mount a laptop on the back of a single seat so that it can be used for computing.

Essentially I'm after something which will hold a heavy (1.78kg) 16" corner to corner object.
May be a tall order as I have been searching all morning and have turned a blank so far.

Thanks

Couldn't find any off the shelf solution to this. So ended up making/adapting my own.
No 'instructables' style build notes as I went through several versions along the way. Just a 'look what I made' post.
But, by starting with the bar from the Olixar iPad mount I already had, I made a new bracket out of wood which fits the laptop nicely. The extra weight requires a clunky leg to stabilise it but with the bottom end fixed to the carpet with velcro it is nice and secure.headrest mount#1.jpg

Did consider that, but if they're not wearing a seatbelt then I'm thinking they've got a lot more than the screen to worry about.
