I currently play movies downloaded from itunes through My OH's laptop via the VGA cable at the rear.
Is it possible to get a USB-phone lead and play them through the USB ports, or are USB ports just inputs?
Thanks
Max

With a normal USB phone lead it isn't possible, but you can get an external video card which connects via USB... I don't see the advantage to using the VGA cable though...

The only benefit is that I have the lead!
The VGA cable I have to remove from the PC at the moment, but then buying another isnt going to break the bank.

Have you thought of Apple TV? Just got one and it's great - you wirelessly stream movies, music and photos from your laptop to any TV.

The main advantage is that you can rent movies (incl HD movies) from iTunes and play them on the TV. Which, if you don't have Sky HD, this is a quick way of watching HD movies. It also has a hard disk that you can copy your movies etc onto so that you can play stuff directly, without the need for your laptop.

It's really simple to set up, think of it a bit like a big iPod connected to your TV. It also gives you direct access to youtube from your TV.

I run it through a PC, so it is not dependent on a MAC.

Saves a lot of wires. Can recommend.

On the whole I hate Apple, so that is not an option!
Sounds good though, She has her Itunes on the Laptop so I just plug that in, but was looking for an easier way to do that.

Get a PS3 job done.

For media streaming I use a classic xbox with XBMC running on it...

Cost £30 and I haven't found a video it can't play ;)
