Evening all,

I recently purchased the Autel BT800 model diag unit with a 2 year licence.

If anyone is in need of having their Merc diagnosed with faults, they are more than welcome to give me a shout. I am not a mechanic, i do not charge but am able to scan your car with you and email the results.

Thought it may help ?

Chris

A very kind offer. How near to Spilsby are you for future reference?
I have no need right now, but will bear you in mind.

Hi Chris, I could use your help. I'm repairing a crash damaged C43 for keeps. I've not yet been able to try and start the engine (eek) since the ECU will have an active fault code which i believe some Autel units are able to reset.Pretty sure these vehicles don't have the pyro fuse like the older models. I'm not bothered about clearing all the other codes yet since i've so many sensors unplugged they'll come back plus i need to get airbags replaced etc however before i rebuild the front end it would be nice to know that the engine can start in case there's any repair work.
Only issue of course is i can't bring the car to you, i'm in Nottingham though, just off junction 25 M1 so not a million miles but also not exactly round the corner. I was thinking of buying an Autel and then selling after i'm done but seems a faff. Maybe i could chuck you some notes for a trip over or rent the unit off you? No problem if this is too much to ask. I was about to create a post asking if anyone could help and then saw this via forum search. Cheers
