I think I lost mine, any ideas how we get a new one?

Think there’s a page on eBay, you take a photo and they match it up.

Otherwise most merc dealers have a master set, they can take them off or match the key number to order the correct one.

Or there might be a sticker on the service book or in the door check with the number required for a spare.

^ This exactly. I take the view that the chance of the wheels being nicked is way below that of being unable to remove a wheel due to lost key or damaged locking nut. Jmo obviously.

Especially when your friendly tyre fitter has windy-gunned them up to about 3000Nm.

If you can get it rattled off without scratching the wheel do that , most tyre places have the sockets that bite locking wheel nuts off. What type of locking bolt is it ? MB have a few versions.
