Hi everyone thanks in advance. I have a C250d AMG 2015. I have noticed if I have to put my foot down to overtake that power will not be there again until I restart the car it’s getting quite dangerous as I never no what my car is going to move like. It’s as if it’s in a limp mode it will go through all the revs as normal but only give me to the equivalent of a 1.2 as opposed to the 2.1. There is no warning lights on and have been to Mercedes and they assure me nothing is wrong. Nothing on their diagnostics. They even took it for a test drive and said it’s all normal, but it’s not it only happens after full revs have been used. I took it to an independent garage and they said the same. I’m just not getting anywhere with it

Hi sounds bloody dangerous to me.

I had a Volvo with similar symptoms to your car and two Volvo dealers could not offer any help but too the car to an Audi specialist who sorted the problem with in an hour.

It is very unusual for no fault codes to be stored. What you are describing will almost certainly flag a code when read by Star.

I had an intermittent fault as you describe on my OM642 V6.

The first fault was down to a MAF issue, the second a few weeks later was a split pipe from the Intercooler to the Turbocharger.

Check all of your air hoses (with a cold and non running engine) for signs of cracks or splits.
