Lowering an Estate

Hi Guys

New to the MB thing, and even newer to the Estate thing!

I have a 2010 E350CDI Amg Sport. And if i wanted to lower the car is it as easy as fitting lowering springs? The car is pretty standard so isnt on bags!

BUT, what about the rear of the car i hear that all estates have automatically adjusting rear suspension (for when the boots full! ..)

Will this make it impossible to lower the rear? Will it cause issues etc? Any advice would be great! Cheers all!

The rear has a basic type of airmatic, so ride height is easily changed either via STAR or by adjusting the height sensor link. Front is the same as many other cars, so you'd need new springs and shox. Best to discuss it with an expert like Olly (BlackC55) of PCS, who frequents this forum.

Thanks for the response guys!

Hi Olly, can you help me out with this? What would be best to lower the car by say 30mm? Will it become really hard out the back or is the ride fine after STAR adjustment?

Does anyone have any experience of the lowering links at all?
